At approximately 11:47 pm last night, the Mahopac Falls Dive Team was requested to South Lake Boulevard for reports of a vehicle submerged in the lake, unknown if occupied.

Upon arrival, Captain Jason Stasiak, found a vehicle submerged approximately 25ft from shore in approximately 10ft of ice-cold water. One member of the Mahopac Falls Dive Team entered the water to search the vehicle which was unoccupied. After searching the vehicle, the diver hooked up the car for the tow company to remove the vehicle.

Mahopac FD was also on scene with one ambulance to assist with standby. EMS and Fire were back in service at approximately 12:50 pm.
