Learning the Value of Every Breath

This afternoon, our probationary firefighters participated in a breathdown drill, designed to give them a real understanding of how quickly air is consumed while operating on air packs during fireground conditions.

Training the Next Generation in Life Safety

Today, members of the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department proudly participated in the Mahopac Middle School Health and Safety Fair.

Brush Fire on Austin Road

This afternoon at approximately 3:50pm the Mahopac Falls VFD was dispatched to a reported brush fire in the area of Austin Road.
Upon arrival, crews found an active brush fire and immediately began suppression efforts. Due to the location and need for additional water supply, mutual aid was requested. Mahopac Fire Department and Somers Fire Department responded to assist, including tanker support.

Annual CPR Training Night
