2022 Annual Inspection

Covid-19 put a stop to many firehouse traditions, one such tradition was our annual inspection. It is during this time of the year our members paint and repair tools and thoroughly wash and wax the apparatus ensuring it is in top condition to respond to the various emergencies throughout the year. Old-Timers Breakfast

Yesterday was a great day for MFVFD. After 2 years, we were able to celebrate our “old-timers’ with our annual breakfast.
Our department wouldn’t be what it is today without the older generations shaping it into such a successful organization. Brewster Dive Call

At approximately 12:40 am this morning, the Mahopac Falls Dive Team was dispatched to Brewster for a confirmed vehicle submerged in the water. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Meury & Dive Capt Eaton met with the scene command to formulate a plan for the removal of the vehicle.

Rope Rescue Drill

Last night, members of MFVFD took advantage of the slightly warmer weather and did something a little different for our Wednesday night drill. Members were escorted to Red Mills Park Trail where they were instructed to prepare for a rope rescue. In order to get to the scene, our members had to make a short hike through the trail.
