On Saturday September 5th, 2020 Mahopac Falls EMS was dispatched to Mahopac High School for a male in Cardiac arrest on one of the fields. Members arrived within minutes of initial dispatch and found a male unconscious and unresponsive, not breathing and pulseless with CPR in progress. Members quickly took over compressions and applied the AED. The Patient was loaded into the rear of the Ambulance where it was discovered that pulses had been regained. The patient was transported to Putnam Hospital Center where he made a full recovery. For their actions that day the following members have been awarded life saving awards: FF/EMT Pj Kelly The last few days we have showcased what our volunteer force has done for our amazing community over the last year. On behalf of Chief Boyle and President Schweizer, we would like to thank them and all of our members for the work they do day in and day out for our department. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to their families for allowing the members to spend so much time away from home answering calls at all hours of the day and night. |
