Mahopac Falls Fire, EMS and Fire Police were dispatched to a three car accident with injury on Rt. 6N at the entrance to the Red Mills Convenience Store and Zacks' Pizza. Multiple units from Carmel Police, a Putnam Co. Sheriffs unit and a Paramedic unit from EMStar were also dispatched. Arriving Fire Police units began to detour heavy afternoon traffic around the scene onto local roads. EMT's and Medic 4 triaged the injured and the two Mahopac Falls ambulances transported three patients to Putnam Hospital. Carmel Police began their scene investigation as flatbed trucks from Stillwater Auto Body the roadway. Captain Jason Stasiak was Incident Command for the call and gave the order to pick up and clear the scene at approximately 4:15.
