On December 17, 2022, at approximately 7pm, Mahopac Falls Fire & EMS, along with Carmel Police and Putnam County EMS were dispatched to the traffic lights at Route 6n and Secor road for a 2-car motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Deputy Chief Sacher confirmed a two-car accident and Carmel Police already on scene assisting with traffic. The occupants of the vehicles were assessed for injuries, but all refused medial attention.

Once on scene, Chief Trace took command and advised the Mahopac Falls Fire Police to shut down the appropriate roadways while the tow trucks removed the two vehicles from the scene.

Mahopac Falls was back in service at approximately 7:30pm.
