Water rescue/recovery Sparkle Lake, Mutual Aid to Yorktown

Mahopac Falls Dive Team was requested to assist Yorktown Fire Dept. at Sparkle Lake in Yorktown with a search for a victim in the water. Responding with a full water rescue assignment, Chief- Dive Trailer- Heavy Rescue and ambulance (designated directly for the safety of Dive Team members), along with divers going to the scene. Upon arrival, Chief Boyle was met by Yorktown FD chief and senior Yorktown Ambulance Corps personnel. Falls divers and support team set up to back up Yorktown FD divers as their "down time" reached the cutoff point.

On the scene were multiple units from Yorktown Police under the command of Chief Robert Noble, Yorktown Fire & Rescue/ Dive Team, multiple squads from Yorktown Ambulance Corps, Yorktown and Empress Paramedics and Mohegan Fire.
At the time of this writing (4:15pm Monday), the victim had not been recovered and the search continues.
