| This afternoon at approximately 4:01 PM, members of the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on Ryan Court in Mahopac. 19-DC-19 was first on scene and arrived to find a fire on the rear deck that had extended into the structure.
Upon arrival, 19-1-1 took command. Working quickly, firefighters knocked down the flames and conducted thorough overhaul operations to ensure the fire was completely extinguished. We're grateful for the support of Mahopac VFD, Mohegan FAST, and Carmel VAC, whose assistance helped us bring this incident to a safe conclusion with minimal damage to the home.
Mahopac Falls VFD returned to service by 5:54 PM. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. |
