| This morning at approximately 8:30am, the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department Dive Team was requested to provide mutual aid to the North Highlands Fire Department for a swift water rescue in the Town of Philipstown after heavy rainfall caused dangerous flooding.
Members of our Dive Team responded with specialized equipment and personnel to assist with the rescue operation. Working alongside North Highlands and numerous local and state agencies, crews helped bring the incident to a safe and successful conclusion.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support our neighboring departments when they call for assistance. Mutual aid is a vital part of emergency response, ensuring communities have the specialized resources they need during complex incidents.
We commend all of the responding agencies for their teamwork and professionalism, and are thankful the residents were brought to safety.
