At approximately 5pm, Mahopac Falls Fire and EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Route 6N and Fabri Court for a reported motor vehicle accident rollover. Upon arrival of first units, they found a 4 door sedan rolled over on the driver side and the driver of the vehicle pinned in his seat, confirming entrapment. The vehicle lost control on the sharp turn, crashing head on into the utility pole, snapping the pole in half, then causing the vehicle to roll. Members quickly stabilized the vehicle utilizing Paratech Stabilization Struts, removed the roof of the vehicle, & extricated the single occupant- turning him over to the EMS Crew. 19-7-1, along with Medic 3, transported the patientt to an awaiting helicopter at MFVFD Station 1, where he was transported to Westchester Medical Center. NYSEG responded to the scene to secure the damaged pole while FD crews operated.
