Yesterday afternoon at approx 1:47pm Mahopac Falls Fire, Mahopac Falls Ambulance, Medic 3 and Carmel PD were dispatched to Route 6n in front of the Holy Smoke restaurant for a report of a 2 car head on MVA with injuries.

On arrival, Chief Trace advised Putnam 911 that a second ALS unit would be needed and 19-6-1 would be used to extricate one of the drivers.

Just prior to the arrival of 19-6-1 the driver was freed from the vehicle.

Mahopac Falls Fire Police assisted Carmel PD with a road closure on 6n until the tow trucks removed both vehicles.

Mahopac FD EMS was requested mutual aid for the second patient. Medic 3 and Mahopac ambulance each transported a patient to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. The road was closed for approx a half hour.
