Last night members were invited to the Mahopac School Bus Depot on Myrtle Avenue for a hands-on introduction to a 65-passenger school bus, as well as a wheelchair-accessible handicap school van.

During the drill, members learned about the potential hazards and the safety equipment that is located at the school bus depot. They also gained a better understanding of the bus construction, safety equipment as well as the access and emergency evacuation points.

We would like to thank both Assistant Transport Supervisor, Steve Troost and Firefighter John Mulvaney for their outstanding knowledge and hospitality. We hope to work together again in the future.
