Hunting accident calls for LifeNet

On Sunday November 8th, for the second time in less than a week LifeNet Air 2 was called to Mahopac Falls Vol Fire Department Station 1 for a patient with a leg injury resulting from a hunting accident. The patient was accidentally shot in the upper leg with a crossbow causing severe injury and blood loss. Patient was approx. 300 yards in the woods behind the Carpenter Mobile Home Park on Route 6N. EMS and FF's carried the patient out on a stokes basket to the awaiting ambulance, which then transported the patient to the landing zone.
