This evening at approximately 7:20 pm Mahopac Falls Fire & EMS, along with Carmel Police were dispatched to a single-car motor vehicle accident, on West Lake Blvd, involving a vehicle off the road.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the sole occupant of the vehicle had minor injuries and was transported BLS to Putnam Hospital for evaluation.

Mahopac Falls Fire was back in service at approximately 7:35 pm. The scene was handed over to Carmel Police as they await the arrival o NYSEG to assess minor damage to a pole.

A gentle reminder to slow down in this wet and dreary weather. We are expecting heavy rain overnight with the possibility of flash flooding. If you need to be out on the road, drive with caution.
