Mahopac Falls VFD has one of the most extensive rookie courses in Putnam County. Every Sunday the rookies go through the numerous aspects of the Department. Today was no different, as Captain Stasiak, Lieutenant Ward, and Lieutenant Dwyer led our Rookies through paces of extrication. Being new to the department a foundation must be built.

The rookies were taught how to crib a car, before advancing into the use of the Paratech strut system, and finally how to use the Jaws of Life in order to extricate victims of motor vehicle accidents.

We would like to give a big shout-out to JLJ Truck and Equipment for allowing us to use their lot for training. We hope you all had a great weekend! And as always be safe and thank you for your continued support!
