It is with deep sadness the Mahopac Falls FD announces the passing of Life Member Herman W. Tempelman on March 18, 2021 at the age of 90. Herman had assisted with taking care of the gardens and landscaping at the station over his years. Herman donated two of the original Blue Spruce trees to the Fire Department from his family tree farm on Hill Street. He was a proud "Old Timer" at the Falls, and was a regular attendee of the "Old Timers" Breakfast. The attached picture is from Sept 2020 where he is wearing his "Old Timer's" Cap. His daughter said he was often seen wearing his cap around town.
