| MFVFD was dispatched to a reported brush fire, called in by the neighbor at 19 Paul Dr. 19-1-1 & 1-3 arrived on scene at the same time to find a large pile of debris, approx. 10'x10', burning in the back yard of 16 Paul Dr, next to 2 sheds on the property lines. 1- 1 3/4" line was stretched from 19-4-4, first apparatus arriving on scene & used to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. As addition members arrived on scene, hand tools were used to make sure no fire got into the ground, especially due to the drought like conditions our area has been facing. The fire was extinguished with no damage to either shed, and all units cleared the scene to enjoy the remainder of their Labor Day. |
