Mahopac Falls Fire & EMS were dispatched to the parking lot of Red Mills-Mahopac National Bank for a single car MVA- car into the brook. Arriving units found a female patient in a bystander's vehicle- stating she forgot to apply the parking brake, and when exiting the vehicle, it started to roll down the hill. She attempted to hang on to stop the vehicle, but got dragged a short distance and then let go- the vehicle then proceeded down the hill into the waterway. EMS personnel treated the patient and transported her to Putnam Hopsital Center. FD personnel remained on scene while the vehicle was removed from the waterway- along with a rep from NYC DEP Hazmat- due to the vehicle being in DEP watersehd property. The vehicle was removed without any fluid leaks or ruptures and all units cleared without further incident. All Photos Taken by Jack Casey
