A call for a 3 car accident between the Putnam County sand depot and Austin Rd. on Rt 6N brought out a full response from the Mahopac Falls Fire Dept. Fire Police closed the road at Potter Rd. and Austin Rd. making it safe for all crews to have full access to all patients and the three vehicles involved. An engine from Headquarters provided support for EMS and medics from EMStar as they began triage on the people involved. Chief Brian Sacher took Incident Command with Captains' Dan Meury and Chris Tompkins taking charge of Operations & Safety. Three patients all refused transport to the hospital. Sgt. Russo and CPD Officer Sillary began their investigation. PCSO Deputy Suppa stopped to lend assistance, but the scene was under control. With Stillwater Auto Body and Skyline Towing on the scene, removal got underway and the road was opened shortly thereafter.
